You will be shown a list of pieces for your chosen instrument. The list is not exhaustive; in each case these have been selected from a large repertoire. These are not in any sense "test" pieces and there is no requirement to be able to play these to join the Society. Finally, this is an assessment of basic reading ability, not overall musicianship.
There will be excerpts from each piece so that you can view the piece and decide whether you would be able to play it. You should indicate whether you could play it immediately, whether you would need a few days notice so that you could practise the piece, or whether you feel that it is too advanced for you to play. Once you have made a choice for each piece, click the "Assess" button to view your grade.
You should respond for ALL pieces. If you do not select an option then "Not within a week" will be assumed!
